Dropcard can be used to send digital business cards so that an employer or co-worker will have all of your information. This application is free and allows for less clutter and can even be done from a cell phone. Using this application can make your business card stand out and make it easier to get a job. You just enter your personal information and then can easily send this information from your cell phone.


This application is free and may be used in everyday life because business cards are an everyday thing in the business world. Business cards are an easy way to give a person all of your information including your name, email address, and phone number. Now when I go out into the business world, I will not have to keep up with hundreds of business cards.

Educational Technology- My Happy Planet

This site is free and allows people from many countries to learn foreign languages from real people around the world. The people that sign up for this application can practice with each other and even make videos and send messages with native speakers. People can also learn about foreign countries and their cultures.

My Happy Planet can be used in everyday life in many ways. For example, if a person is travelling abroad, then he or she can use this application to practice speaking the native language and the culture of that country. Also, a student could use this application to help strengthen their knowledge of the foreign language that he or she is studying.

Cell Phone Technology- Youmail

Youmail is a free service that takes the place of a voicemail on a cell phone. Youmail is easier and faster than the current voicemail on your phone. Voicemails on cell phones are outdated, and Youmail gives the user the opportunity to see a picture of the person calling and even allows the voicemail to be sent in a text format. Youmail also has many features that can be used by a subscriber. They include Visual Voicemail, Voice-to-text option, Personal greetings, Voicemail sharing, and Youmail by email.

Youmail and its features may be used in everyday life because the person receiving the call may not be able to talk on the phone, so the Voice-to-text option would send the voicemail in a text layout. Youmail also sends a more personal greeting to the person receiving a call.
